HOW IT WORKS

The Duluth Passport is offered for sale online similar to a gift certificate. It is a discount pass for Duluth’s best three attractions. You will pickup the pass at any of the 3 participating locations after you purchase it here online. Until then, a confirmation email (or printing the confirmation page) works as your receipt of purchase.
The Duluth Passport is roughly a 25% discount on the three separate attractions (closer to 27% based on adult ticket prices). You’re essentially getting the third for almost free (included).
Both the Irvin and Aquarium are open daily in the summer, and all you have to do is show up with your Duluth Passport (or pick it up when you get there) to enjoy. The train recommends reservations, although not required (some trains do fill up though, and your passport does not guarantee a seat unless you have a reservation). To make a reservation for the train, you can simply call the ticket office after you purchase your pass.

North Shore Scenic Railroad
To make a reservation for the train with your Duluth Passport, you can simply call the railroad’s ticket office (number below) and make the reservation. You will be asked for the confirmation code from your purchase or the pass numbers. Then, you’ll be asked for your pass to exchange for the actual train tickets when you arrive. The Aquarium and trains usually accepts the passes after the expiration date as long as it is this year (Irvin closes in September, but the trains continue until October 16).

William A. Irvin
The William A. Irvin is open in the late spring, all summer, and up until September 15th for tours of the historic ship. It takes about an hour. The pass is good for the entire 2024 operating season, through September 15th. Ages 2 and under are free and do not need any ticket or reservation.
